2014 BRXC is on it's Way

I thought it was time to update everybody on the coming Bushrider Cross country season. First off, the Bush Bash event has been retired from the calender. It wasn't an easy decision, the event ran for 5 years and never really took off. On behalf of the Bushriders MCC I'd like to thank all those that did contest the Bush Bash. Barring a couple of very windy times, I beleive everyone that rode the events had a blast. I know my favourite year was the first year we ventured into the Castlehill forestry. Also I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the Richardson Family for having us out there.
Every year they have put everything into helping run the event, nothing has ever been an issue with them and I for one appreciate everything they have put into the event.
Some of you may already have heard, this years BRXC is going to kick off with the Yamaha Taikorea 500 as the opening round on the 23rd (Sat) of November. It will be a double header for the seniors with 2 one hour races (points based on your overall position for the day). The juniors will have a 45 minute race in between the 2 senior races. If you have done a cross country at Taikorea before, you'll know how demanding riding in the sand is.
The event will add a bit of flavour to the series. I can also tell you that there are 5 rounds this year. There will be 3 rounds at Pahiatua and for the first time, the series will venture down to Martinborough.
In the coming weeks we hope to annouce the dates and venues plus the sponsors for this coming 2014 BRXC series.
