Q. Instead of a fire extinguisher would a fire blanket be ok?
A. Yes that would be fine
Q. Do I need race numbers on my bike?
A. No, you will be given stick-on race numbers when you sign in. However the club may wish to utilise your existing race number. National allocated cross country numbers will precide.
Q. Do team riders have to ride own bikes?
A. If you are a Junior, yes. Senior riders can share a bike if they wish to, but you will disadvantage yourselves because of refueling time etc.
Q. I don't have an MNZ race license?
A. Thats ok. You can buy a day license at sign on for an extra $20.
Q. Do I get price reduction for supplying my own transponder?
A. No, good try though. AMB transponders are not compatible with our system. Also the cost is nominal so not passed onto the riders.
Q. For team riders, do we have to ride alternate laps?
A. No, if you wish, you can split the race in half or change rider every 2 laps. If a team mate makes it back in race mode, but is unable to continue due to injury or bike failure, your team mate can finish the race.
Q. Is there accomodation available, near the event.
A. Yes, there is limited accomodation at Waitawhiti station, also within 5 minutes
is a backpackers at Tiraumea. Charge for both places is $25/person/night, includes hot showers.
