Hey spook - just an academic type comment - I have looked at the series standings and your placing is exactly the same using either method, dropping a round would not change anything at all for you. I am sorry about the mistake on the website - entirely my fault, the club had told me there would be no rounds dropped - i forgot it was on the details page.

The drop a round discussion started between rnd 2 & 3 & the idea was scrapped because the series had already started. Unfortunately the website has only just caught up due to web manager being very busy running his own business. As far as the date change, we can only say sorry. If you look at my events calender, the next 4 mnths have at least one event per sunday. one has 3 events, some even on sat. Some events can't clash. This time of year is a real headache for organisers.

Its also a bit frustrating when you decide to do a series, as the dates all look OK, then you change the date of a event. Easter weekend?? Don't allot of people go away over Easter, why change it to this date??

How can you have on your website the night before a round stating that you can drop a round and then the night after say you can't this is wrong and makes the whole series a waste of time as far as im concerned it once it was posted you should stick with it right or wrong

The classes stipulated by MNZ are for championship competition with the odd variation for the NZGP event. Otherwise it is up to the induvidual clubs to run classes at club level, as they see fit. Therefore the decision made at the last meeting, regarding junior xc classes, stands, regardless of what the MNZ rule book may say.

The Final Round is being held at Waitawhiti Station, 824 Waitawhiti Road, Eketahuna, the event will be signposted from Tiraumea Road, opposite BP in Pahiatua at the south end of town, please allow about 55 minutes from Pahiatua, 1 hour from Masterton and 1.5 hours from Palmerston North.
As this is the Final Round of the MNZ NZXC prizegiving will be held at the Waitawhiti Woolshed, a light meal will be served and a bar will serve light refreshments this is a fundraiser for the Eketahuna Womans Rugby Team so please support them.

I went to Bush riders round at Masterton to help. First XC I've been to for a while and I would like to congratulate the club for a well run day. It looked professional and well organised. Young guys stepping up and helping Teiana and the others. Well Done Bush Riders.
